“If you hear a voice within you say, ‘You cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced”
– Vincent Van Gogh
“Creativity is more than just being different. Anybody can plan weird; that’s easy. What’s hard is to be as simple as Bach. Making the simple, awesomely simple, that’s creativity”
– Charles Mingus
In our childhood days we used to take crayons and paint
whatever and whenever we like. We would draw trees, hills and variety of things
on the walls, floors and where ever we feel like .For this nuisance as seen by
our elder we used to get good amount of scoldings.
The days passed, years went by and we have now grownups. As
we were growing up we lost the enthusiasm for painting, better to say we lost
our coloring skills and the imagination to paint tees clouds etc. We have lost
the charm for colors.
Recently, I had the “fortunate opportunity” to see one of my
friend’s creative collections of cards, wood painting etc. You can see them
above ….how beautifully the feelings and emotions are expressed through colors …….
on wood paper ………
After seeing the painting a thought came to our mind – Is it
that we have forgotten to color?
Have we lost our creativity? NO(You might differ me in this opinion). Then what’s the problem???
Pondering on this problem few
lines of W H Davis suddenly striked my mind.
WHAT is this life if, full of care,We have no time to stand and stare?—
Leisure - W. H.
Davies
Yes, we are actually so busy that we have now no time for
this stupidity. (See the change which was actually fun in our childhood day
which we would do even after getting a good scolding now seems to e stupidity
when no one is there to scold.)
So I dedicate this post to
person who paints her thought on paper, whose creativity you have seen
above....and even I feel it's a better way to express yourself!!
More over a small amount of time spent on these things can
make thing much better......
