Wow!! Welcome to Y2K12. A lot of
excitement automatically gets into brain with lot of question like “How will be
my new year”. But there one thing that comes into the mind is that - “What will
be my new year’s resolution?” .Even though we don’t take it seriously but it’s
the first thing that comes to our mind as just after the results we take an
oath that we will study this time seriously but eventually we forget as the day
passes by same thing happens in this case also.
Almost four days have passed since New
Year and I haven’t yet decided what will be my New Year resolution even though
I kept on pondering about it. I thought to select a aim or destination as usual, which I have to achieve by the end of the year but the past years are testimony
that this method is useless ….I will
work for first few days and after that just forget it .. So useless …
So pondering long over this I thought of
trying something different...so I drew guide lines and planned to follow them
for the rest of the year …Some of them I have been practicing and they have
been worth doing .Here along with those guidelines/rules I am doing few new
additions, which will be judged in the future and I believe they will be
beneficial only.
Aims changes as the time passes they
can’t be constant or fixed but a rule/guidelines to work out or face those
problems doesn’t change. They are :-
1.
Do one thing at a time. “When
walking, walk. When eating, eat.”
2.
Do it slowly and deliberately. That is
focus on one task at a time but it helps you focus on the task. I will really
help you in the long run.
3.
Do it completely. Put your mind
completely on the task. Don’t move on to the next task until you’re finished.
4.
Do less. If you do less,
you can do those things more slowly, more completely and with more concentration.
If you fill your day with tasks, you will be rushing from one thing to the next
without stopping to think about what you do.
5.
Put space between things. Don’t
schedule things close together — instead, leave room between things on your
schedule. That gives you a more relaxed schedule, and leaves space in case one
task takes longer than you planned.
6.
Designate time for certain things*. A time for
bathing, a time for work, a time for cleaning, a time for eating. This ensures
that those things get done regularly.
7.
Devote time to meditate*. Each day,
there is time designated just for sitting. This meditation is really practice
for learning to be present. This will really help us to concentrate on your
work and increase your efficiency.
8.
Smile and serve others*. It
teaches them humility, and ensures that their lives are not just selfish, but
devoted to others. I give’s one internal happiness.
9.
Think about what is necessary*. Thank god
for what he has given you and because many don’t even get one time food to eat.
10.
Live simply*. Don’t be too much
flashy in nature .Just be simple because simplicity has its own beauty.
* Things I have been following.
That’s what my resolutions.. What abt
urs!!
